
Dan is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health and Research Methods at Teesside University and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He teaches across the public health undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and is course leader for the BSc Public Health and Doctorate of Professional Practice. His primary research interests span early years child development and public health. He completed his PhD on early years physical activity, motor skills and school readiness in 2021 under the supervision of Professor Liane Azevedo. His current research spans physical education content and policy, physical development, school readiness and lifestyle interventions in pregnancy.
